Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Commonly four times a day (or twice daily in higher doses), swallowed whole with water, ideally before food or as the pack directs. Space the doses evenly through the day, and complete the full course even if you feel better after a few days, to clear the infection fully and help prevent antibiotic resistance.
Nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps or diarrhoea are common, especially at higher doses. Taking it with a little food can help; seek advice for severe or watery/bloody diarrhoea. Tell your doctor about liver problems, heart-rhythm problems or a family history of them, as erythromycin can affect heart rhythm and interacts with many medicines (including some statins, warfarin and others). Always mention your other medicines. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice. Store below 25°C. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
