Oleanz 5mg Tablets (30 pack) contain olanzapine, an antipsychotic medicine used to treat conditions affecting mood and thinking. Olanzapine helps rebalance brain chemicals to ease the symptoms of schizophrenia. Such as hallucinations, disordered thinking and agitation, and to treat the manic and mixed episodes of bipolar disorder, helping to stabilise mood and, with ongoing use, prevent relapse. The 5mg strength is a common dose. A doctor-prescribed, closely supervised treatment helping people manage schizophrenia or bipolar disorder and maintain stability in daily life.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually once daily, with or without food, swallowed with water, often in the evening as it can cause drowsiness. Keep taking it every day even when you feel well, as stopping can bring symptoms back; never stop suddenly without advice, as your doctor will reduce the dose gradually if treatment ends. Attend regular reviews and the blood checks your doctor arranges.

May cause drowsiness, dizziness and weight gain, and can affect blood sugar and cholesterol. Your doctor will monitor weight and blood tests, especially with long-term use. Rise slowly to avoid dizziness, and avoid alcohol. Take care driving until you know how it affects you. Tell your doctor about diabetes, heart problems, epilepsy, liver problems or Parkinson's. Seek urgent care for high fever with stiff muscles and confusion (rare but serious). Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on specialist advice. Store below 30°C.
