Candid Mouth Paint 15ml contains clotrimazole 1% in a palatable oral solution for the treatment of oral thrush (oral candidiasis). The white, sore patches that can develop on the tongue, inner cheeks and gums in babies, denture wearers, people on antibiotics or steroids, and those with weakened immunity. Painted directly onto the affected areas, clotrimazole kills the candida yeast at its source, easing soreness and restoring comfortable eating and speaking. A practical, widely used oral antifungal from Glenmark's Candid range, suitable for adults and children as directed.

Clotrimazole 1% w/v oromucosal (mouth paint) solution.

Directions for Use

Use as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Using the applicator or a clean cotton bud, paint the solution onto the affected areas of the mouth two to four times daily, ideally after meals. Avoid eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes afterwards so the medicine stays in contact with the patches. Continue for the full course. Usually 1-2 weeks, including a few days after the patches clear. For infants, apply gently and use only on a clinician's advice.

For use in the mouth only. Apply in small amounts and avoid swallowing large quantities. Mild burning or altered taste may occur. Denture wearers should also disinfect dentures daily to prevent re-infection. If thrush keeps returning, or the patient is diabetic or immunocompromised, seek medical review. Recurrent thrush can signal an underlying issue. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding on medical advice. Store below 30°C.
