Meftal Forte Tablets (20 pack) combine mefenamic acid 500mg with paracetamol, pairing an anti-inflammatory painkiller with a fever-and-pain reliever for stronger relief than either alone. The combination is used for moderate pain with an inflammatory component. Severe period pain, dental pain, headache, muscle and joint pain, and fever that needs robust control. The two medicines work through different pathways, attacking pain at the site of inflammation and in the brain's pain centres, making Meftal Forte a dependable short-course option from Blue Cross.

Directions for Use

Adults: take one tablet two to three times daily after food, or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Always take with or after a meal with a full glass of water. Never on an empty stomach. Use the lowest dose for the shortest period needed. Do not take any other paracetamol-containing medicine at the same time, and do not exceed the stated daily dose.

Avoid with stomach ulcers, aspirin/NSAID allergy or asthma triggered by painkillers, severe kidney, liver or heart disease, and in the third trimester of pregnancy. Contains paracetamol. Overdose seriously harms the liver. Mefenamic acid can cause diarrhoea with prolonged use. Stop if it occurs. Caution with blood thinners and blood pressure medicines.
