Overview

Baclofen 10mg Tablets (Balcon, 100 pack) contain baclofen, a muscle relaxant. It is used to relieve muscle stiffness, spasm and tightness (spasticity) caused by conditions such as multiple sclerosis, spinal-cord injury or disease, and certain other neurological conditions. Baclofen works on the nervous system to relax overactive muscles, easing painful spasms and stiffness and helping movement and comfort. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. The dose is started low and increased gradually to find what works best, usually taken in divided doses through the day, swallowed with water, with or after food to reduce stomach upset. Do not change the dose yourself. Importantly, do not stop baclofen suddenly. It must be reduced slowly under medical guidance to avoid serious withdrawal effects.

May cause drowsiness, dizziness and muscle weakness, especially at first. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you, and avoid alcohol, which adds to these effects. Do not stop suddenly, as this can cause confusion, seizures or a dangerous return of spasticity. Tell your doctor about kidney problems, epilepsy, mental-health conditions, stomach ulcers, or breathing problems, and all other medicines. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on advice.
