Etova 400mg Tablets (30 pack) from Cipla contain etodolac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) that relieves pain and inflammation. Etodolac reduces the body chemicals that cause pain, swelling and stiffness, easing the symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis as well as other musculoskeletal and acute pain. It is somewhat selective in its action, which can make it a little gentler on the stomach than some older NSAIDs. The 400mg strength is a common dose for arthritis. A doctor-prescribed anti-inflammatory helping people manage painful, inflammatory joint and muscle conditions.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually once or twice daily, with or after food and a glass of water to protect the stomach. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed. For long-term arthritis it may be used regularly under review; for short-term pain, stop when no longer needed. Do not exceed the prescribed dose.

Because it is an NSAID, take it with food and avoid if you have a stomach ulcer or have had stomach bleeding. Tell your doctor about heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney or liver problems, or asthma (NSAIDs can trigger wheeze in some people). Avoid excess alcohol, and avoid combining with other anti-inflammatories. Not recommended in late pregnancy; use earlier in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on advice. Stop and seek care for black stools, severe stomach pain, chest pain or signs of allergy. Store below 30°C.
