Overview

Newcox-P Tablets combine etoricoxib 60mg, a selective COX-2 anti-inflammatory (NSAID), with paracetamol 325mg for powerful dual-action relief of pain and inflammation. It is prescribed for moderate pain including arthritis (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis), gouty arthritis flares, back pain, toothache, nerve and muscular pain, and fever. Etoricoxib calms inflammation at the source with less stomach irritation than older NSAIDs, while paracetamol boosts pain relief and reduces fever. Newcox-P offers people managing painful joint and muscle conditions an effective prescription option in a convenient 30-tablet pack.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. It is usually taken once or twice daily, preferably after food, swallowed whole with water. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed to control symptoms. Do not take other paracetamol-containing products at the same time, and do not exceed the prescribed dose.

Do not use if you have a peptic (stomach) ulcer, significant liver impairment, congestive heart failure or kidney impairment, or if allergic to etoricoxib, paracetamol or other NSAIDs. Use with caution in high blood pressure. Etoricoxib can raise blood pressure, and in patients with heart disease risk factors. Avoid in pregnancy. Avoid alcohol, which raises the risk of liver and stomach problems. Report black stools, vomiting blood, chest pain or swelling promptly. Store below 30°C.
