Overview

Brustan Syrup 100ml is a paediatric fever and pain suspension combining ibuprofen and paracetamol. Two trusted medicines that work through different pathways for stronger, longer-lasting relief than either alone. It is used for high fever that does not settle with a single agent, painful ear and throat infections, teething pain and post-immunisation fever in children, as directed by a clinician. The dual action brings stubborn fevers down faster and keeps uncomfortable little ones settled. A familiar paediatric ally in households, dosed strictly by weight.

Directions for Use

Use as directed by your doctor or pharmacist, dosed by the child's weight. Do not guess. Shake the bottle well and measure with the cup or syringe provided. Give after food or milk to protect the stomach. Doses are typically repeated every 6-8 hours as needed, with strict daily maximums. Do not give other paracetamol- or ibuprofen-containing medicines at the same time.

Do not give with dehydration, vomiting and diarrhoea (ibuprofen risks kidney strain), asthma triggered by NSAIDs, stomach ulcers, or to infants below the age on the pack without medical advice. Never exceed the stated dose. Paracetamol overdose damages the liver. See a doctor if fever lasts beyond 3 days, the child is under 3 months, or there is drowsiness, rash, stiff neck, fast breathing or poor feeding. Store below 30°C.
