Meftal 500mg Tablets (20 pack) contain mefenamic acid, a trusted anti-inflammatory painkiller from Blue Cross especially valued by women for period pain. Directions for Use

Adults and over-14s: take one 500mg tablet up to three times daily, with or immediately after food to protect the stomach. For period pain, start at the first sign of cramps and continue for the heaviest 2-3 days only. Use the lowest dose for the shortest time that works. Do not exceed three tablets in 24 hours, and see a doctor if pain persists.

Avoid with stomach ulcers or bleeding, aspirin/NSAID allergy or asthma attacks triggered by NSAIDs, severe kidney, liver or heart disease, and in the third trimester of pregnancy. Can cause stomach upset and, with overuse, diarrhoea. Stop if this occurs. Caution with blood thinners, other NSAIDs and blood pressure medicines. Stop and seek care for black stools or rash.
