Overview

Flixotide 125mcg Evohaler (120 doses) is GSK's inhaled corticosteroid preventer containing fluticasone propionate, prescribed for the daily control of persistent asthma. Used morning and evening, fluticasone calms the underlying airway inflammation that drives wheeze, cough and night symptoms, steadily reducing the frequency and severity of attacks. It does not relieve sudden breathlessness. It prevents it. For asthma patients needing a moderate-dose steroid preventer, Flixotide 125 is a long-trusted cornerstone of controller therapy.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. Typically one to two puffs twice daily, every day, even when well. Shake the inhaler, breathe out fully, then inhale deeply as you press the canister; hold your breath for about 10 seconds. Use a spacer for better lung delivery if advised. Rinse your mouth and spit after each use to prevent oral thrush. Keep a separate reliever inhaler for acute symptoms.

Not for relief of an acute asthma attack. Rinsing the mouth after use prevents the most common side effects. Oral thrush and hoarseness. Do not stop suddenly; preventer doses are stepped down under medical guidance. High prolonged doses warrant growth monitoring in children and bone/adrenal awareness in adults. Report worsening symptoms or increased reliever use promptly. Use in pregnancy as advised. Controlled asthma is safer than uncontrolled. Store below 30°C; do not pierce or burn the canister.
