Overview

Saltrol 25/125mcg Inhaler is a combination metered-dose inhaler for the long-term control of asthma (and sometimes COPD). It contains salmeterol, a long-acting bronchodilator that keeps the airways open, and fluticasone, an inhaled steroid that reduces airway inflammation. Used regularly, it helps prevent symptoms such as wheezing, breathlessness and chest tightness, and reduces flare-ups. It is a preventer, not a quick-relief reliever. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use exactly as directed by your doctor. Usually one to two puffs twice daily (morning and evening), every day, even when you feel well, as it works by preventing symptoms over time. Shake the inhaler, breathe out, then inhale a puff slowly and deeply and hold your breath for about 10 seconds. IMPORTANT: rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after each use to prevent oral thrush. Use a spacer if advised. Keep a separate quick-relief reliever for sudden symptoms.

This is a preventer inhaler. It does NOT relieve a sudden attack; use your reliever inhaler for that and seek help if breathing worsens. Rinse your mouth after use to avoid oral thrush and hoarseness. Tell your doctor about heart problems, an overactive thyroid, diabetes or other medicines. Do not stop suddenly without advice. Attend regular asthma reviews and inhaler-technique checks. Store below 30°C, away from heat; do not pierce or burn the canister.
