Fona 0.1% Cream (adapalene) is a topical retinoid prescription medicine used to treat acne on the face, chest and back. Adapalene works by normalising the way skin cells are shed, helping to unclog pores, clear blackheads, whiteheads and pimples, and reduce inflammation. Used regularly, it speeds the healing of existing spots and helps prevent new ones, supporting clearer skin over time. This 10g tube is ideal for teenagers and adults managing mild to moderate acne.

Active ingredient: Adapalene 0.1% w/w.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. In the evening, wash and dry the skin, then apply a thin layer over the whole affected area (not just individual spots), avoiding the eyes, lips and nostrils. Use once daily. Apply a non-greasy moisturiser if needed and a sunscreen each morning. Improvement builds over several weeks; mild dryness or peeling early on is common.

This is a prescription medicine for external use only. Avoid the eyes, lips, inside of the nose and broken or sunburnt skin. It increases sun sensitivity. Use sunscreen daily and avoid strong sun, sunlamps and waxing of treated skin. Expect some dryness, redness or peeling at first; reduce frequency if irritation is marked. Do not use with harsh scrubs or other strong actives unless advised. Avoid in pregnancy and when planning pregnancy unless your doctor approves.
