Overview
Daktacort Cream 15g combines miconazole 2%, a proven antifungal, with hydrocortisone 1%, a mild steroid. Treating fungal skin infections that are inflamed, red and itchy. It clears athlete's foot, ringworm, sweat rash (intertrigo) and candidal nappy rash while the hydrocortisone rapidly calms the itching and soreness, giving faster comfort than an antifungal alone. A trusted two-in-one for the moist, inflamed fungal rashes common 's warm climate, used for short courses on medical or pharmacist advice.
Miconazole nitrate 2% w/w with hydrocortisone 1% w/w cream.
Directions for Use
Apply a thin layer to the affected area twice daily, gently rubbing in, after washing and drying the skin thoroughly. Especially between toes and in skin folds. Use for up to 7 days of the inflamed phase, then continue with a plain antifungal if advised until the rash clears fully. Wash hands after use. For nappy rash, apply sparingly at changes on medical advice.
For external use only. Avoid the eyes and mouth. Contains a steroid: do not use on large areas, broken skin, acne, or viral infections (cold sores, chickenpox), and avoid prolonged unsupervised use, especially on the face or in children. Do not use under occlusive dressings or tight nappies for long periods. Stop if irritation worsens. Use in pregnancy on medical advice. Store below 25°C.
