Overview

Halovate S Cream 15g combines halobetasol (a super-potent topical corticosteroid) with salicylic acid, for short-term treatment of severe, scaly, thickened steroid-responsive skin conditions. Notably stubborn plaque psoriasis. The steroid powerfully calms inflammation while salicylic acid softens and removes thick scale, helping treatment penetrate, under medical direction.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Apply a thin film to the affected areas only, once or twice daily exactly as prescribed, rubbing in gently. Courses are strictly short (typically up to 2 weeks) with limited weekly amounts. Respect your doctor's limits precisely. Wash hands after use. Do not use under airtight dressings unless directed.

Never use on the face, groin, armpits, broken skin or large areas unless specifically directed. The super-potent steroid can thin skin, cause stretch marks and be absorbed enough to affect the body, while salicylic acid adds irritation risk. Not for children, pregnancy or breastfeeding without specialist advice, or on infected skin. Avoid abrupt stopping after prolonged use (rebound flares).
