Overview

Steroderm Cream contains mometasone furoate 0.1%, a medium-strength topical corticosteroid used to relieve the inflammation and itching of skin conditions such as eczema (atopic dermatitis), psoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis and other dermatitis. It works by reducing the redness, swelling and itching in the affected skin. This 15g cream is used by adults and children as directed for flare-ups of inflammatory, itchy skin conditions.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. Apply a thin layer to the affected area once daily, and rub in gently. Wash your hands after applying (unless treating the hands). Use for the shortest time needed; do not use on the face, skin folds or broken skin, or under airtight dressings, unless your doctor advises.

This is a prescription steroid cream. For short-term use on affected areas only. Avoid the face, eyes, skin folds and broken or infected skin unless directed. Do not use on large areas or for prolonged periods, especially in young children, as it can thin the skin and be absorbed; prolonged use can also cause skin lightening. Stop and seek advice if the skin worsens or shows signs of infection. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice. Store in a cool, dry place.
