Melan H Cream is a prescription skin-lightening treatment used to fade hyperpigmentation such as melasma, dark spots, freckles and post-inflammatory marks. It combines hydroquinone, which reduces excess melanin (pigment) production, with tretinoin, which speeds up skin cell turnover and helps the hydroquinone work more deeply, and allantoin, which soothes the skin. This 20g cream is used under medical guidance to help even out skin tone and reduce stubborn dark patches for adults .

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Melan H is usually applied as a thin layer to the affected dark areas once daily at night, on clean, dry skin, avoiding the eyes, lips and broken skin. Because it contains a retinoid and hydroquinone, daytime use of sunscreen is essential. Do not use over large areas or for longer than advised.

This is a prescription medicine for short-to-medium term use. Avoid sun exposure and always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day, as the skin becomes more sensitive to sunlight. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding (tretinoin is not safe in pregnancy). Avoid the eyes, lips and mucous membranes. May cause redness, peeling, dryness or irritation. Reduce frequency or stop if severe. Do not use on large body areas or for prolonged periods without medical review, as long-term hydroquinone use can cause skin darkening (ochronosis).
