Overview
Beclomin Ointment (15g) contains beclometasone, a topical corticosteroid used to calm inflamed, itchy skin. Applied to the affected area, beclometasone reduces the redness, swelling and itching of steroid-responsive skin conditions such as eczema (dermatitis) and other inflammatory rashes. The ointment base is especially soothing for dry, thickened or flaky skin, helping seal in moisture while the steroid settles the inflammation. A doctor- or pharmacist-guided option for people needing short-term relief from troublesome inflammatory skin flare-ups. Confirm the exact strength on the pack.
Active: Beclometasone dipropionate (topical corticosteroid). Confirm exact strength on the product packaging. Ointment base of paraffins.
Directions for Use
Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Usually a thin layer applied to the affected skin once or twice daily. Wash and dry your hands, apply sparingly to the inflamed area only, and rub in gently. Do not use on large areas or for long periods unless advised, and do not cover with airtight dressings unless your doctor tells you to. Use for the shortest time needed to control the flare.
For external use only. Avoid the eyes, face (unless advised) and broken or infected skin. Topical steroids should be used short-term; prolonged or excessive use can thin the skin. Do not use on undiagnosed rashes that may be infected (e.g. ringworm or impetigo), as steroids can worsen them. Tell your doctor if the skin does not improve. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on advice and on small areas. Store below 25°C. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
