Overview

Grabacin Powder is a topical antibiotic dusting powder used to treat and help prevent minor bacterial skin infections. It contains neomycin, bacitracin and polymyxin. Antibiotics that stop the growth of bacteria, and is useful for infected cuts, grazes, minor wounds and areas prone to bacterial infection. The powder form helps keep the area dry while delivering antibiotic action, which can be especially useful for skin folds and moist areas. Grabacin Powder is a practical first-aid product for managing minor skin infections in adults and children as advised.

Active ingredients: Neomycin, Bacitracin and Polymyxin B.

Directions for Use

For external use only. Clean and dry the affected skin first, then dust a small amount of powder lightly over the area 1 to 3 times a day, or as directed. Avoid inhaling the powder during application. Wash your hands after use. Do not apply more often or for longer than directed, and avoid using for more than one week unless advised by a doctor.

For use on the skin only. Avoid the eyes, nose, mouth and inhaling the powder. Do not use if you are allergic to neomycin, bacitracin, polymyxin or related aminoglycoside antibiotics (such as gentamicin). Avoid applying to large areas or broken skin over a wide area without advice, as neomycin can rarely be absorbed; prolonged use may cause skin sensitisation. Do not use on a child's nappy area unless directed. Stop and seek advice if irritation worsens or infection does not improve within a week. Tell your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.
