Hemoforce Family Syrup (200ml) is an iron-based tonic syrup used to support healthy blood and help treat or prevent iron-deficiency anaemia in the whole family. It typically provides iron together with folic acid and B vitamins, which the body needs to make healthy red blood cells, helping to combat the tiredness, weakness and pallor of anaemia. Directions for Use
Give by mouth using the measure provided, following the dose and age guidance on the label. Usually once or twice daily, ideally with or after food. Taking it with a source of vitamin C (such as citrus) improves iron absorption, while tea, coffee and milk reduce it. Space these apart. Continue for the period your doctor advises, as topping up iron takes time.
Iron tonics commonly cause stomach upset, constipation or dark stools. This is harmless. Do not exceed the recommended dose, and give to children only at the stated amount. Iron overdose is dangerous, especially to children. Keep well out of their reach. Tell your doctor about bowel disease or other iron medicines. Check the label for sugar content.
