Overview

Ibumex Gel is a topical pain-relief gel containing ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Rubbed into the skin, it helps relieve pain and reduce inflammation in muscles and joints. Useful for backache, sprains, strains, sports injuries, and the aches of conditions such as arthritis and rheumatic pain. Applying ibuprofen directly to the affected area targets local pain, with less of the medicine reaching the rest of the body than with tablets. Ibumex Gel is a convenient choice for soothing everyday muscle and joint aches. For external use on the skin.

Directions for Use

For external use only. Apply a small amount of gel to the affected area and gently massage into the skin until absorbed, usually three to four times a day (leave at least 4 hours between applications and use no more than 4 times in 24 hours). Wash your hands after use, unless you are treating the hands. Do not use for longer than recommended without advice.

For external use only. Keep away from the eyes, mouth and broken or infected skin. Do not use if you are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin or other NSAIDs, or if these have triggered asthma or skin reactions. Avoid in late pregnancy. Do not cover with airtight dressings, and avoid exposing the treated area to strong sunlight. Stop if a rash develops. Do not use together with other NSAID gels or tablets without advice.
