Overview

Korie Mum Breast Shells are soft, protective shells worn inside the bra by breastfeeding mothers. They help protect sore or cracked nipples from rubbing against clothing, can help draw out flat or inverted nipples, and collect any leaking milk between feeds. They provide gentle relief and protection during the early weeks of breastfeeding. A supportive breastfeeding aid for mothers. Best used with guidance from a midwife or lactation supporter.

Directions for Use

Wash and sterilise before first use and clean after each use. Place a shell inside your bra so the soft backing sits comfortably against the breast with the nipple through the central opening, to protect it and/or collect leaking milk. Empty and clean regularly. Note that milk collected in shells while worn is generally not suitable to save for feeding. Follow your midwife's advice. Do not wear for long unbroken periods.

Clean and sterilise before first use and after each use. Do not wear continuously for long periods, and keep the skin clean and dry to prevent soreness or infection. Milk collected passively in shells during wear should usually be discarded, not fed to the baby, unless advised otherwise. See a midwife/doctor for ongoing nipple pain or feeding problems.
