Overview

Loxiam 8mg Tablets contain lornoxicam, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) that relieves pain and reduces inflammation. Lornoxicam reduces the body chemicals that cause pain, swelling and stiffness, easing musculoskeletal and joint conditions such as back pain, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as other moderate acute pain including after surgery or dental work. The 8mg strength is a standard dose. By calming inflammation at the source, it offers effective short-term relief. A doctor-prescribed anti-inflammatory helping people manage painful, inflammatory joint and muscle conditions.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once or twice daily, with or after food and a glass of water, for the short course advised. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed. Always take it with food to protect the stomach, and tell your doctor if pain does not improve.

Because it is an NSAID, take it with food and avoid if you have a stomach ulcer or have had stomach bleeding. Tell your doctor about heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney or liver problems, or asthma (NSAIDs can trigger wheeze in some people). Avoid excess alcohol, and do not combine with other anti-inflammatories. Not recommended in late pregnancy; use earlier in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on advice.
