Overview

Malanil Adult Tablet contains Atovaquone 250 mg and Proguanil hydrochloride 100 mg. MALANIL is a fixed dose combination product which acts as a blood schizonticide and also has activity against the hepatic forms of Plasmodium falciparum. It is indicated for:-Prophylaxis of Plasmodium falciparum malaria.-Treatment of Plasmodium falciparum malaria. Because MALANIL is effective against drug sensitive and drug resistant P. falciparum it is especially recommended for prophylaxis and treatment of P. falciparum malaria in areas where the pathogen may be resistant to other antimalarials.

Directions for Use

The adult treatment dose is four standard tablets once a day for three days. For prevention adult dose is one standard tablet daily starting one or two days before traveling into a malaria-endemic area, and continuing throughout the stay and then for another seven days after returning from the area. Take at same time daily with food or milky drink.

Malanil Adult is contra-indicated in breastfeeding and if one is allergic to any of its components. Always consult your doctor before taking Malanil.
