Overview

The Uptech Go Spacer (Adult) is a valved holding chamber (spacer) used with a metered-dose inhaler ("puffer") to make asthma and COPD inhalers work better and more easily. The inhaler attaches to one end and you breathe from a mouthpiece at the other; the spacer holds the puff of medicine so you can breathe it in properly, getting more of the medicine into the lungs and less in the mouth and throat. A practical aid helping people with asthma or COPD get the most from their inhalers. Use with a compatible MDI inhaler.

Directions for Use

Follow the full instructions. In brief: shake the inhaler, fit it into the spacer's opening, place the mouthpiece in your mouth, then press the inhaler once and breathe in slowly and deeply (or take several normal breaths through the spacer). Use one puff at a time. Rinse your mouth after using steroid inhalers. Clean the spacer regularly (typically weekly) by washing in warm soapy water and letting it air-dry. Do not rub it dry.

Use only with a compatible metered-dose inhaler and as shown by your doctor, nurse or pharmacist. The spacer is a delivery aid. It does not contain medicine and does not replace your prescribed inhalers or your asthma action plan. Replace the spacer as recommended (typically every 6-12 months) or if cracked or the valve is damaged. Seek urgent help if breathing is severe or a reliever is not working.
