Overview

Xylo-Acino Adult Nasal Spray 0.1% relieves a blocked, stuffy nose using xylometazoline, a fast-acting decongestant. It works by narrowing the swollen blood vessels in the nasal lining, opening up the airways so you can breathe more easily within minutes. It is helpful for nasal congestion caused by the common cold, flu, sinusitis, hay fever and other allergies. This adult-strength spray is a convenient, targeted way to ease congestion and is suitable for adults and children over 12 years for short-term use.

Active ingredient: Xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.1% (1 mg/ml).

Directions for Use

Blow your nose gently before use and shake the bottle. Insert the nozzle into one nostril, keep the bottle upright, and give one spray while breathing in gently; repeat in the other nostril. Use one spray into each nostril up to three times a day as needed. Do not use for more than 7 days in a row, as longer use can cause rebound congestion. Wipe the nozzle clean after use and do not share the spray with others.

Do not use for longer than 7 consecutive days, as overuse can worsen congestion (rebound effect). Not suitable for children under 12 years (use the appropriate paediatric strength). Use with caution if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, an overactive thyroid, diabetes or glaucoma, or take antidepressants such as MAOIs. Tell your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding. May cause temporary stinging, dryness or sneezing. Store below 25C and use within the period advised after opening.
