Fastum Gel 2.5% 50g contains ketoprofen, a topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) gel from Menarini for the local relief of muscular and joint pain. Sprains, strains, sports injuries, backache, neck and shoulder tension, and tendonitis. Massaged over the painful area, ketoprofen penetrates the skin to reduce inflammation and pain at the source, with minimal absorption into the bloodstream compared with oral painkillers. The mid-size 50g tube is a practical choice for households and regular gym-goers managing recurring aches and minor injuries.

Directions for Use

Adults: apply a small amount of gel (5-10cm ribbon) to the painful area and massage in gently, two to three times daily, or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Wash hands thoroughly after each application. Do not use for more than 7 days without medical advice. Do not apply under occlusive (airtight) dressings.

Important: avoid exposing treated skin to sunlight or sunbeds during use and for two weeks after stopping. Ketoprofen gel can cause serious photosensitivity reactions; cover treated areas outdoors. Do not use if allergic to ketoprofen, aspirin or other NSAIDs, or if you have had skin reactions to fenofibrate or sunscreens containing octocrylene. Do not apply to broken, infected or eczema-affected skin, or near eyes and mouth. Not recommended in the last trimester of pregnancy; check before use if pregnant, breastfeeding or asthmatic.
