Overview
Sara Fe Capsules (30 pack) are an iron supplement used to treat and prevent iron-deficiency anaemia. Iron is needed to make haemoglobin, the part of red blood cells that carries oxygen around the body. When iron levels are low, you may feel tired, weak, dizzy and breathless and look pale; Sara Fe helps replace iron to correct these symptoms and restore energy. It is often used in pregnancy, after blood loss, or where the diet is low in iron. A practical iron-replacement option for women and anyone advised to boost low iron levels. Directions for Use
Take only as directed on the label or by your doctor. Commonly one capsule daily, swallowed whole with water. Taking it with vitamin C (such as orange juice) improves absorption, while tea, coffee, milk, antacids and calcium reduce it. Space these a couple of hours apart. Continue for the full course advised, as rebuilding iron stores takes several weeks to months.
Iron commonly causes stomach upset, nausea, constipation or dark stools. This is harmless. Take only if you need iron, as excess can be harmful, and do not give to children except on medical advice. Tell your doctor about stomach ulcers or bowel disease. Iron overdose is dangerous, especially to children. Keep well out of their reach and seek help immediately if too much is taken.
