Pernex AC 5% Gel (20g) is a benzoyl peroxide treatment for mild to moderate acne. Directions for Use
Wash the face with a mild cleanser and pat dry. Apply a thin layer to the affected areas. Not just individual spots. Once daily at first, increasing to twice daily as tolerated. Start with short-contact use (wash off after 15 minutes) if your skin is sensitive. Improvement typically shows over 4-8 weeks of consistent use. Use a non-comedogenic moisturiser and sunscreen daily.
Expect mild dryness, redness and peeling at first. Reduce frequency if marked. Avoid eyes, lips, nostrils and broken skin. Benzoyl peroxide bleaches fabric. Use white towels and pillowcases and wash hands after applying. Increases sun sensitivity. Use sunscreen. Stop if severe burning, blistering or swelling occurs.
