Overview

Perobar 5% Soap is a medicated acne cleansing bar containing benzoyl peroxide 5%. It gently cleanses the skin while helping to clear and prevent acne. Benzoyl peroxide works by reducing acne-causing bacteria, unclogging pores and removing excess oil and dead skin cells. This 75g bar is suitable for use on acne-prone areas of the face and body (such as the chest and back) for teens and adults managing mild to moderate acne.

Directions for Use

Wet the skin, work the bar into a lather and gently massage over the acne-prone area, then leave for a short time before rinsing thoroughly with water. Use once daily at first, building up to twice daily if tolerated. Rinse well and avoid the eyes, mouth and inner nose. Apply a non-greasy moisturiser if the skin becomes dry.

For external use only. Benzoyl peroxide can cause dryness, peeling, redness or stinging, especially at first. Reduce frequency if this occurs. It can bleach hair, towels, bedding and coloured fabrics, so rinse well and use white towels. Avoid the eyes, lips and sensitive areas, and use sun protection as it can increase sun sensitivity. Do a patch test if your skin is sensitive; stop use if severe irritation occurs. Store in a cool, dry place.
