Overview

Pylotrip Kit (7-day pack) is a combination treatment pack for clearing Helicobacter pylori, the bacterium that causes most stomach and duodenal ulcers. The kit provides a one-week course of “triple therapy”. Typically two antibiotics plus a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid. Conveniently arranged in daily blisters. Together these medicines eradicate the infection and allow the ulcer to heal and stay healed. A practical, organised eradication course for patients with confirmed H. pylori, used under medical guidance.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take exactly as directed by your doctor and as laid out in the daily blisters. Usually the morning and evening sets of tablets/capsules for 7 days, swallowed with water. Take every dose and complete the full week even if you feel better, as stopping early allows the infection to return and encourages resistance. The acid-reducing medicine is usually taken before food.

Contains antibiotics. Tell your doctor about any drug allergies (especially to penicillin) before starting, and stop and seek care for rash, swelling or breathing difficulty. May cause a metallic taste, nausea or diarrhoea; report severe or bloody diarrhoea. Avoid alcohol during and just after the course (a reaction can occur with metronidazole-type antibiotics).
