TX-MF Tablets (30 pack) combine tranexamic acid, a medicine that reduces bleeding, with mefenamic acid, an anti-inflammatory pain reliever, to treat heavy and painful periods (menorrhagia with cramps). Tranexamic acid helps the blood clot more stably so menstrual blood loss is reduced, while mefenamic acid eases the inflammation and pain of period cramps and can also lessen flow. Together they tackle both the heavy bleeding and the discomfort in one tablet. A doctor-prescribed option helping women manage heavy, painful periods and the tiredness they can cause.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually taken a few times a day during the days of heavy bleeding, with or after food and a glass of water. Start as your doctor advises (often when the period begins or becomes heavy) and do not exceed the prescribed days or dose. Tell your doctor if heavy bleeding continues, as the cause may need investigation.

Persistent or unexplained heavy bleeding should be assessed by a doctor. Because it contains an anti-inflammatory (NSAID), avoid it if you have stomach ulcers, and take it with food; tell your doctor about asthma, kidney, heart or stomach problems. Do not use if you have a history of blood clots or certain clotting disorders. Stop and seek advice for calf pain or swelling, chest pain or breathlessness.
