Directions for Use

Take one tablet once or twice daily with or after meals, or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Taking calcium with food improves absorption. If you take two tablets daily, space them apart (morning and evening), as the body absorbs calcium best in smaller amounts. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Do not use in conditions with high blood calcium, kidney stones or severe kidney disease except on medical advice. Calcium can reduce absorption of some medicines. Take thyroid hormones, certain antibiotics (tetracyclines, quinolones) and iron at least 2-4 hours apart from Safecal. Mild constipation or bloating can occur.
