Overview

Silverstream (Qurion) 100ml is a topical antiseptic solution containing silver nitrate, used in wound care. Applied to the skin, it releases silver ions that kill bacteria and prevent minor wounds, cuts, burns and ulcers from becoming infected. It is also used by healthcare providers to chemically cauterise (seal) overgrown or bleeding tissue and to remove small skin growths such as warts and skin tags, encouraging a protective scab to form so a wound can heal. This is a practical antiseptic for home and clinic wound care, for external use only.

Directions for Use

For external use only. Clean and dry the affected skin first, and wash your hands before and after use. Apply a small amount of the solution to the wound or growth exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist, avoiding surrounding healthy skin. Do not use more than needed or for longer than advised. Avoid contact with eyes, nose and mouth - rinse well with water if this happens. Take care, as the solution readily stains skin, clothing and surfaces.

Do not use if you are allergic to silver nitrate, and do not use on genital warts. It may cause a temporary burning sensation, skin staining or irritation at the site. Avoid using on large open or weeping wounds unless a doctor advises. Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep away from the eyes and mucous membranes.
