Overview
Sita-Met 50/500mg Tablets (14 pack) combine sitagliptin 50mg, a DPP-4 inhibitor, with metformin 500mg for type 2 diabetes needing more than metformin alone. Sitagliptin boosts the body's incretin hormones so insulin responds when glucose rises, while metformin curbs the liver's glucose output. Weight-neutral, low-hypoglycaemia control in one convenient tablet.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take as prescribed, typically one tablet twice daily with meals to minimise stomach upset, swallowed whole. Continue diet and exercise measures and monitor blood sugar as advised. Do not adjust the dose yourself.

Treatment pauses before surgery or contrast scans. Caution in kidney impairment; limit alcohol (rare lactic acidosis risk with metformin). Tell your doctor about all medicines and any kidney problems. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
