Directions for Use

Shake well before use. Take as directed on the packaging or by your doctor, using the measuring cup or spoon provided, with doses based on age. It is often taken with water or juice (vitamin C aids absorption) and ideally between meals, though taking with food reduces stomach upset. To protect teeth from staining, you can use a straw and rinse the mouth afterwards. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Use the dose advised for the age, and do not exceed it. Iron may cause stomach upset, constipation and darkening of the stools (harmless), and can temporarily stain teeth. Separate from antacids, some antibiotics and calcium by about two hours. Take only if iron deficiency is confirmed or advised, as too much iron is harmful.
