Mega Normagut 250mg Capsules (30 pack) contain Saccharomyces boulardii, a beneficial probiotic yeast that supports gut health and helps manage diarrhoea. By colonising the gut temporarily and crowding out harmful organisms, it helps restore the natural balance of gut flora. Useful for acute infectious diarrhoea, antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, and traveller's diarrhoea. It is taken alongside rehydration to help shorten diarrhoea and protect the gut while on antibiotics. A well-tolerated, doctor- or pharmacist-recommended option helping people recover from diarrhoea and keep their digestion in balance.

Directions for Use

Take only as directed on the label or by your doctor or pharmacist. Commonly one capsule once or twice daily, swallowed with water; the capsule can often be opened and the contents mixed into a little cool or lukewarm (not hot) food or drink. When used to prevent antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, take it during the antibiotic course, separated by a few hours from antifungal medicines. Continue rehydration fluids while you have diarrhoea.

Use alongside oral rehydration. It does not replace lost fluids and salts. Do not mix with very hot food or drink, which kills the live yeast. It is generally not recommended for people who are seriously ill, have a weakened immune system, or have a central venous catheter, without medical advice. Seek care for blood in the stool, high fever, severe or persistent diarrhoea, or signs of dehydration. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on advice. Store in a cool, dry place.
