Overview
Tamsuglen D is a prescription combination medicine for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH. An enlarged prostate) in men, containing tamsulosin and dutasteride. Tamsulosin (an alpha-blocker) relaxes the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck to ease urine flow, while dutasteride (a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor) gradually shrinks the prostate over time. Together they relieve troublesome urinary symptoms such as weak stream, difficulty starting and frequent urination, and can reduce the risk of urinary retention for men .
