Tiza-Q 2.5mg is a tirzepatide injection, a once-weekly medicine for type 2 diabetes and weight management, often described as a generic equivalent of Mounjaro. Tirzepatide is a dual-acting medicine (a GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist) that works on two gut-hormone pathways to lower blood sugar, slow digestion and reduce appetite. Helping to improve blood sugar control and support gradual weight loss. The 2.5mg strength is the usual low starting dose. It is a prescription medicine used alongside diet and exercise under medical supervision.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine used under medical supervision. It is given as an injection under the skin (abdomen, thigh or upper arm) once a week, on the same day each week, with the dose set and gradually increased by your doctor: 2.5mg is the usual starting dose. Follow your doctor's and the device instructions exactly, rotating the injection site each time. Do not change the dose yourself.

This medicine should be used under medical supervision. Tell your doctor if you have a history of pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, severe gut problems, or a personal or family history of certain thyroid tumours (medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2). It commonly causes nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea or reduced appetite, especially as the dose increases. It can increase the risk of low blood sugar when used with insulin or sulfonylureas. Not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Store refrigerated as directed, and protect from heat and light.
