Travoprost works by improving the natural drainage of fluid from the eye, lowering the pressure and helping protect vision over the long term. Used once daily, it gives steady pressure control. A trusted, doctor-prescribed eye drop helping people with glaucoma preserve their eyesight.
Active: Travoprost 0.004% (40 micrograms/ml). Preservative per pack (e.g. polyquaternium-1).
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. Usually one drop into the affected eye(s) once daily, in the evening. Wash your hands, tilt your head back, pull down the lower lid and instil the drop without touching the dropper tip to the eye, then close the eye and press the inner corner for a minute. If using other eye drops, wait about 5 minutes between them. Keep using it every day even though glaucoma usually causes no symptoms. Stopping lets pressure rise again.
Travoprost can gradually and permanently darken the iris (eye colour), and darken or thicken the eyelashes and eyelid skin. Usually harmless. Remove contact lenses before use and wait 15 minutes before reinserting. Tell your doctor about eye inflammation or a history of eye surgery. Report eye pain, marked redness or vision changes. Discard 28 days after opening; do not share. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on advice. Store as labelled.
