Zetro 500mg Tablets (3 pack) contain azithromycin, a widely used macrolide antibiotic prescribed for bacterial infections of the chest (bronchitis, pneumonia), throat and sinuses, ears, skin and soft tissues, and certain sexually transmitted infections. Azithromycin concentrates in infected tissues and keeps working after the course ends, allowing characteristically short treatment. Commonly one tablet daily for just 3 days. The compact 3-tablet pack matches the standard adult course, making Zetro a convenient, affordable prescription antibiotic choice .

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The usual adult course is one 500mg tablet once daily for 3 days, taken at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow whole with water. Complete the full prescribed course even if you feel better earlier. Stopping early can allow the infection to return and encourages antibiotic resistance.

Do not use if allergic to azithromycin, erythromycin or other macrolides. Tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, a heart rhythm disorder (long QT), or take other medicines. Separate antacids by at least 2 hours. Common side effects include diarrhoea, nausea and abdominal pain; seek urgent care for severe rash, facial swelling, breathing difficulty or watery/bloody diarrhoea. Tell your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding. Take antibiotics only when prescribed. Misuse drives resistance. Store below 30°C.
