Overview
My Co-amoxiclav 228mg contains a combination of amoxicillin 200mg and clavulanic acid 28mg.Amoxicillin exerts a bactericidal action against gram postive and gram negative organisms. Clavulanic acid protect amoxicillin from degradation by beta-lactamase enzymes produced by penicillin resistant strains.
Directions for Use
Children 2-6 years (13kg-21kg): 5ml twice daily. 7-12 years (22kg-40kg):10ml twice daily. Consult your doctor on the dosage as this may vary for different conditions.
Contraindicated In patients with a history of hypersensitivity to beta-lactams, e.g. Penicillins and cephalosporins. Can be used during pregnancy upon a physician approval for treatment.
