Orelox 100mg Tablets (10 pack) from Sanofi contain cefpodoxime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic for adults and adolescents. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The usual adult dose is 100-200mg twice daily, 12 hours apart, depending on the infection. Your doctor will set the right dose and duration. Take with food, which improves absorption. Swallow whole with water. Complete the full prescribed course even if you feel better early. Stopping early risks relapse and antibiotic resistance.

Do not use if allergic to cefpodoxime or other cephalosporins; mention any previous severe penicillin allergy, as cross-reaction can occur. Tell your doctor about kidney problems (dose adjustment may be needed) and all other medicines. Antacids and acid reducers lower absorption; separate by 2-3 hours. Side effects can include diarrhoea, nausea and headache; seek urgent care for severe rash, swelling, breathing difficulty or persistent watery/bloody diarrhoea.
