Satrogyl 300mg Tablets (30 pack) contain satranidazole, an antibiotic and antiprotozoal medicine of the nitroimidazole family. It treats infections caused by protozoa and anaerobic bacteria. Including intestinal amoebiasis, giardiasis and certain dental, abdominal and gynaecological infections. Satranidazole clears these organisms while being generally well tolerated, with fewer of the metallic-taste and stomach effects seen with older agents. A doctor-prescribed option for people facing amoebic, giardial or anaerobic bacterial infections.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. The dose and duration depend on the infection, usually one tablet once or twice daily for the prescribed number of days. Swallow whole with water, preferably after food. Complete the full course even if you feel better, to clear the infection fully. Avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least a couple of days afterwards.

Avoid alcohol during and shortly after treatment. Nitroimidazoles can cause flushing, nausea and palpitations with alcohol. Tell your doctor about liver problems, nervous system disorders or any allergy to similar medicines. May cause nausea, headache or dizziness. Stop and seek advice for numbness, tingling or a severe reaction. Not recommended in early pregnancy, breastfeeding or for young children unless a doctor directs. Store below 30°C.
