Itacare 100mg Capsules contain itraconazole, a broad-spectrum oral antifungal used to treat fungal infections that creams cannot reach or clear. Including fungal nail infections, extensive ringworm and athlete's foot, pityriasis versicolor, and yeast infections of the mouth or vagina that keep recurring. Itraconazole works by destroying the fungal cell membrane, and it concentrates in skin and nails to keep working for weeks after a course ends. Itacare offers people an affordable itraconazole option for stubborn fungal problems, taken as a doctor-prescribed course (10 capsules).

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Capsules are taken immediately after a full meal, swallowed whole with water. Food and stomach acid are needed for absorption. Dosing varies by infection: short courses, longer daily courses, or one-week-per-month 'pulse' therapy for nail infections. Follow your prescriber's schedule exactly and complete the full course. Avoid taking antacids or acid-reducing medicines within 2 hours of your dose.

Do not use in heart failure, during pregnancy (use reliable contraception during and until the cycle after treatment) or while breastfeeding without specialist advice. Itraconazole interacts with many medicines. Including some statins, sedatives, blood thinners and heart medicines. Tell your doctor everything you take. Report symptoms of liver problems (unusual tiredness, dark urine, jaundice, loss of appetite) promptly; liver monitoring may be needed for longer courses.
