Directions for Use

This medicine is given as an injection by a doctor or nurse. You do not give it yourself. The dose and how it is given are decided by your healthcare provider, usually as a deep injection into a muscle, for short-term use only. It is generally not used for more than a couple of days by injection before switching to tablets or other treatment if pain relief is still needed.

As an NSAID, it carries risks of stomach irritation/bleeding and heart and kidney effects. It is used at the lowest dose for the shortest time. Tell your healthcare provider if you have a stomach ulcer, heart, kidney or liver disease, high blood pressure, or have had asthma/allergy triggered by NSAIDs or aspirin; it is avoided in late pregnancy.
