Nimenrix Vaccine is a meningococcal conjugate vaccine from Pfizer that protects against four groups (A, C, W and Y) of the meningococcal bacteria. A leading cause of bacterial meningitis and life-threatening blood infection (septicaemia). It builds protective immunity in children, adolescents and adults against these dangerous, fast-moving infections, including for travellers to higher-risk regions. This medicine is administered under specialist medical supervision only.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Dosage is determined by your prescribing doctor based on your individual needs. Do not adjust your dose without medical supervision. Administered by a healthcare professional as an injection, according to the schedule recommended for the person's age and circumstances (infants may need more than one dose; older children and adults usually receive a single dose). Follow the schedule your clinic advises, including any boosters. This medicine is administered under medical supervision.
Tell the clinician about any allergy to a previous dose or vaccine component, current significant illness or fever (vaccination may be postponed), and any immune-weakening condition or treatment. Common reactions include soreness, redness or swelling at the injection site, fever, headache and tiredness, usually settling within a day or two.
