Linvesta-EMP 5+10mg Tablets (30 pack) combine linagliptin 5mg, a DPP-4 inhibitor, with empagliflozin 10mg, an SGLT2 inhibitor. Two complementary diabetes medicines in one tablet for type 2 diabetes. Linagliptin boosts incretin hormones for glucose-responsive insulin release, while empagliflozin helps the kidneys flush excess glucose out through the urine, adding proven heart and kidney protection and modest weight benefit.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily in the morning, with or without food, swallowed whole with water. Maintain good hydration, continue diet and exercise measures, and monitor blood sugar as advised. Do not change the dose without medical guidance. Confirm the strengths on your pack.

Seek urgent care for nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain or rapid breathing. Possible ketoacidosis even with near-normal glucose (the empagliflozin component). Genital thrush and urinary infections are more likely. Maintain hygiene and report symptoms. Treatment may be paused during serious illness, before surgery or contrast scans. Report severe persistent abdominal pain (rare pancreatitis) and severe joint pain. Hypoglycaemia risk rises with sulfonylureas or insulin. Not for type 1 diabetes.
