Apytry Syrup is an appetite-stimulant supplement combining cyproheptadine with vitamins (and, in some formulations, tricholine citrate). Cyproheptadine is an antihistamine that also stimulates appetite, while the added vitamins support energy and general nutrition. It is used to help improve poor appetite and support healthy weight gain and recovery, for example after illness or in people who are underweight. This syrup is intended for use under the guidance of a doctor or pharmacist.
Directions for Use
This is a medicine containing a prescription antihistamine. Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Shake the bottle well and measure each dose with the cap or a proper measuring device. Take as advised, usually once or twice daily; because it can cause drowsiness, an evening dose is often preferred. Use for the duration your doctor recommends rather than long-term without review.
Contains cyproheptadine, which commonly causes drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery, and avoid alcohol. Not suitable for newborns, very elderly or frail people, or in narrow-angle glaucoma, urinary retention, or certain stomach/prostate conditions. Tell your doctor. Avoid in pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised. Tell your doctor about liver or kidney problems and other sedating medicines. Use the appetite-stimulant effect only under medical guidance.
