Deanxit tablets contains Flupenthixol 0.5 mg and Melitracen 10 mg which is used in the treatment of schizophrenia and depression. Flupenthixol is a typical antipsychotic. It works by blocking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that affects thoughts and mood. Melitracen increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating the mood and treat depression.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Deanxit may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Deanxit may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.It should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
