Diflucan contains Fluconazole 50 mg which is an antifungal medicine. It stops the growth of fungus by preventing them from forming their own protective covering which is required for their survival in the human. Diflucan is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of fungal infections. Diflucan may be used alone or with other medications. Diflucan belongs to a class of medications called antifungals.
Do not chew, crush or break it. Diflucan 50 mg capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Diflucan maybe unsafe for use during pregnancy but is safe to use during lactation. Diflucan is unsafe to use in patients with kidney disease.
